I have finally finished my new website. This was my first attempt at CSS / Photoshop (I normally do my image work in Fireworks - but have been meaning to learn Photoshop for awhile). I have to say that I am really pleased with both technologies. CSS in particular - I had no idea it was so powerful! I hate to document my ignorance, but I thought CSS was just for displaying HTML tags more uniquely (h2 = red, bold, italic, Ariel, etc...). Turns out it is a pretty kick ass technology. ...even though it is a bit annoying to get it to work properly across multiple browsers.

I have also reworked my blog page to be in the same format as the rest of the my website. This was actually a lot harder then it sounds because the blog needs to be hosted within Blogger - and they want my blog to be displayed a particular way. I had a particularly hard time getting rid of the blogger navbar. I owe a special thanks to this lovely hack which did just the trick. Unfortunately this hack doesn't work perfectly since it leaves 20px of empty space. I don't mind though - the extra space works for me.
