I remember when I was a kid one of the first jobs I wanted "when I grow up" was to be an astronaut. That lasted about 2 weeks. That was the amount of time it took me to figure out all of the things I would need to accomplish before I had A CHANCE of becoming an astronaut. You needed:

Brains - MIT PhD type brains.
Looks - If Nasa is going to put you in front of a camera...
Physical Strength - Remember all the tests they use to put astronauts through?
10+ years flight experience.
Military experience.
Guts.

So, basically, 30 years of waking up every morning and wanting to be an astronaut. Every morning.

...and that is why I find this space ship one stuff so fascinating. I could have spent my whole life from the age of 6 training to be an astronaut. Now (well, in a few years anyway) the only criteria I will need to experience weightlessness is a couple of hundred bucks and a hawaiian t-shirt.

(I hope this post doesn't jinx them - Good Luck on Monday!)
