Bought a new toy today. A 20 GB HD. It's pretty cool. Transfers data at about 2 MB per second - which isn't fantastic, but it certainly gets the job done for me.

It has become a bit of a thing for me lately to make regular backups of my personal / work data. I have the whole thing scripted, but I still find it very annoying to have to back up to an external device (I have been using CD's until now). Hopefully, this will make it a bit easier.

As an aside, I bought another drive from dabs.com the other day, but the drive showed up missing a part so I had to return it. You would not believe how difficult this is with dabs.com. In the end, I am not even sure if I sent it to the right address / with the right documentation. ...so from now on, I will definitely be avoiding dabs.com
