Hmmm... Let's try that again. How about logviewerplus instead? I love a good re-branding.

NY Times has a neat tool which allows you to "play government" and fix the US budget deficit. It's kind of fun. The interesting thing about it for me was how quickly I was able to solve the budget deficit. ...takes like 10 minutes. So what is the holdup?

Here are my choices if you are interested.

I am not happy about it, but I am signing up for a Twitter account today. I already hate twitter, but as I am setting up the account I see...

Oh. My. God. What part of "never give out your password" are people having trouble with? Guess what everybody: THIS IS NOT SECURE!! :-) Also, when you are going something "free" - it's not free. They own your data. Twitter (and Facebook and the rest) could be doing anything with your email.

This makes me hate my whole industry.

At long last, I have finally released my hobby project. CompleteProject is project management software which runs on the desktop and allows you to collaborate with other members on your team. You can also use it as a simple task list. It has been in the works for a long time so it is nice to finally show it to the world. Have a look and let me know what you think.

...if you were wondering why I haven't posted in a while, hopefully that clears things up. :-) I will post more on the product later, but for now, I would like to hear what you think.

On software complexity...

Via AlarmingDevelopment: "It is not about solving puzzles and being the brightest kid in the class. It is about realizing that the complexity of software dwarfs even the most brilliant human; that cleverness cannot win. The only weapons we have are simplicity and convention."

Those are three sentences worth remembering.
